Limited Warranty Policy

Effective June 2026  ·  South Valley Equipment

Overview

South Valley Equipment (SVE) stands behind the parts we sell. Where a manufacturer warranty is not included with a part, SVE offers its own limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship as described below.

This warranty applies to parts purchased directly from SVE through our website (southvalleyequipment.com) or over the counter at our Pleasant Grove, Utah location. This is a limited warranty — it covers only what is stated here, and nothing more.

Warranty coverage by product type

Fuel system components

Injectors, injection pumps, common rail assemblies, and related fuel system parts are covered by SVE's 30-day limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship from the date of purchase.

Important — fuel system contamination: Fuel system components are extremely sensitive to contamination. This warranty does not cover failures caused by a contaminated, improperly cleaned, or inadequately primed fuel system. Warranty claims on fuel system parts require confirmation that the fuel system was cleaned and primed per manufacturer specifications before installation. Not sure what that involves? Read our Fuel System Prep Guide for a full walkthrough. Claims submitted without this documentation may be denied.

Required filter specification: These engines require a fuel filter that meets OEM micron rating specifications. SVE's warranty only applies where a Bobcat OEM filter (part number 7400454 or current equivalent) was used at the time of installation and can be documented with a receipt or invoice. Installations using unverified aftermarket filters — including filters purchased from third-party online sellers without documented filtration specifications — are not covered under this warranty. Using a non-approved filter voids warranty coverage on all fuel system components.

Prior fuel system faults: If the machine has a documented history of fuel system faults, contamination, or low rail pressure prior to installation, a common rail swab and internal fuel pump inspection must be completed and documented before installation. Claims on machines with a prior fuel system fault history where this documentation is not provided will not be approved.

Drive motors and supplier-warranted parts

Drive motors and select other parts are covered by the supplying manufacturer's or distributor's warranty. SVE will facilitate warranty claims on your behalf. Contact us with your order number and part number to initiate a claim.

Wear parts, tracks, tools, and hardware

Rubber tracks, bucket teeth, hydraulic tools, and consumable wear parts are sold as-is and are not covered by any SVE warranty.

What this warranty covers

  • Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of sale

  • Parts that fail under normal operating conditions within the warranty period

  • Replacement of the defective part or a refund at SVE's discretion

What this warranty does not cover

  • Damage caused by improper installation or failure to follow manufacturer specifications

  • Contamination from a dirty, improperly flushed, or degraded fuel system

  • Installations where an approved OEM-spec fuel filter cannot be documented

  • Parts installed in equipment not listed in the published fitment specifications

  • Parts that have been disassembled, modified, or tampered with

  • Normal wear and deterioration over time

  • Failures occurring after a documented period of normal operation — confirmed normal operation following installation is evidence that a part was received in working condition; failures that develop after normal operation are evaluated as system events, not manufacturing defects

  • Labor, downtime, rental equipment, or any other consequential costs — SVE does not reimburse shop time under any circumstances

  • Parts returned without a pre-approved RMA number

How to file a warranty claim

Step 1

Contact SVE

Email or call with your order number, part number, and a description of the failure. Claims must be submitted within the warranty period.

Step 2

Claim review

SVE reviews the claim against this policy. We may request photos, installation notes, or fuel system service documentation.

Step 3

RMA issued

If approved, we issue an RMA number in writing. The RMA number must appear on the outside of the return package. You have 14 days to ship the part back.

Step 4

Inspection

The part is inspected on arrival. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless SVE determines the part was defective.

Step 5
