What's covered, what isn't, and how to file a claim
South Valley Equipment stands behind the parts we sell. Where a manufacturer warranty isn't included with a part, SVE offers its own limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, as described below.
Coverage by part type
Fuel system components
Injectors, injection pumps, common rail assemblies, and related fuel system parts are covered against defects in materials or workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase.
Fuel system components are extremely sensitive to contamination. This warranty does not cover failures caused by a contaminated, improperly cleaned, or inadequately primed fuel system. Claims require confirmation that the system was cleaned and primed per manufacturer specs before installation. Not sure what that involves? Read our Fuel System Prep Guide for a full walkthrough. Claims submitted without this documentation may be denied.
Warranty coverage only applies where a Bobcat OEM filter (part number 7400454 or current equivalent) was used and can be documented with a receipt or invoice. Unverified aftermarket filters — including those from third-party sellers without documented filtration specs — are not covered, and using one voids warranty coverage on all fuel system components.
If the machine has a documented history of fuel system faults, contamination, or low rail pressure prior to installation, a common rail swab and internal fuel pump inspection must be completed and documented before installation. Claims on machines with this history where documentation isn't provided will not be approved.
Drive motors & supplier-warranted parts
Covered by the supplying manufacturer's or distributor's warranty. SVE facilitates the claim on your behalf — contact us with your order number and part number to get started.
Wear parts, tracks, tools & hardware
Rubber tracks, bucket teeth, hydraulic tools, and consumable wear parts are sold as-is and are not covered by any SVE warranty.
What this warranty covers — and what it doesn't
✓Covered
- Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of sale
- Parts that fail under normal operating conditions within the warranty period
- Replacement of the defective part, or a refund at SVE's discretion
✕Not covered
- Damage from improper installation or failure to follow manufacturer specs
- Contamination from a dirty, improperly flushed, or degraded fuel system
- Installations where an approved OEM-spec fuel filter can't be documented
- Parts installed in equipment outside the published fitment specifications
- Parts that have been disassembled, modified, or tampered with
- Normal wear and deterioration over time
- Failures that develop after a documented period of normal operation — confirmed normal operation is evidence the part was received in working condition
- Labor, downtime, rental equipment, or any other consequential costs — SVE does not reimburse shop time under any circumstances
- Parts returned without a pre-approved RMA number
How to file a warranty claim
Contact SVE
Email or call with your order number, part number, and a description of the failure. Claims must be submitted within the warranty period.
Claim review
SVE reviews the claim against this policy. We may request photos, installation notes, or fuel system service documentation.
RMA issued
If approved, we issue an RMA number in writing. It must appear on the outside of the return package. You have 14 days to ship the part back.
Inspection
The part is inspected on arrival. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless SVE determines the part was defective.
Resolution
If the defect is confirmed, SVE ships a replacement or issues a refund within 5–7 business days. If inspection fails, the part is returned at the customer's expense.
Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability
Disclaimer of implied warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SVE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. No implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose applies to any part sold by SVE, except to the extent that applicable law prevents such disclaimer. SVE makes no representation that any part is fit for any purpose other than its ordinary, intended use as described in the product listing.
Limitation of liability
SVE's liability under this warranty — and under any other legal theory — is limited to the original purchase price of the part. SVE is not responsible for labor costs, equipment downtime, lost revenue, lost profits, or any other consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, whether or not SVE was advised of the possibility of such damages and whether or not a warranty claim is approved.
State law rights
Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.
